LEGAL INFORMATION
Privacy notice
Last updated: 24 August 2026
This notice explains how the Centre for Contemporary Economics & Development handles personal data submitted through ccedbg.com.
1. Controller and contact
The controller is the Centre for Contemporary Economics & Development, Bulgaria. Questions and requests concerning personal data may be sent to info@ccedbg.com.
2. Data and sources
Contact form: name, email address, subject, message, language, privacy-notice acknowledgement and limited security information. Bulletin: email address, consent date, status and unsubscribe token. Technical protection: IP address and limited server/rate-limit records. We receive these data directly from you or automatically from your device and hosting infrastructure; we do not purchase personal data from data brokers.
3. Purposes and legal grounds
We process contact inquiries to respond and take steps requested before possible cooperation (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, where applicable, for our legitimate interest in conducting and documenting correspondence (Article 6(1)(f)). Bulletin subscriptions and optional external media rely on consent (Article 6(1)(a)). Limited security and abuse-prevention data rely on our legitimate interest in protecting the website and communications (Article 6(1)(f)).
4. Whether data are required
The fields marked as required in the contact form are necessary to identify and answer the inquiry; without them the form cannot be submitted. Bulletin subscription and permission for external media are entirely optional and refusal does not restrict access to the website.
5. Recipients and service providers
Data may be accessed only by authorised Centre team members who handle communications and by hosting, email and technical-support providers where necessary. If forwarding is enabled, an inquiry may be sent to the team addresses selected by an administrator. We do not sell or disclose contact details for third-party marketing.
6. International transfers
The website does not intentionally transfer contact-form or bulletin records outside the European Economic Area. If you allow third-party media such as YouTube, that provider may process technical data in other countries under its own privacy terms and applicable transfer safeguards. No such media is loaded before your choice.
7. Retention
Inquiries are kept only while needed for correspondence, follow-up, accountability, security and possible legal claims, and are periodically reviewed. Bulletin data are kept until consent is withdrawn; a minimal suppression record may remain to honour the unsubscribe request. Security and server records follow the limited retention settings of the hosting service and are deleted or overwritten when no longer needed.
8. Your rights and response time
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Send requests to info@ccedbg.com. We normally respond within one month and may ask for information needed to verify identity.
9. Complaint to the supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP), 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd., 1592 Sofia, Bulgaria, kzld@cpdp.bg, cpdp.bg. Electronic complaints must follow the CPDP requirements, including a qualified electronic signature where required.
10. Automated decisions and children
We do not use submitted data for automated decision-making or profiling. The website and its forms are not specifically directed to children. If we learn that data were submitted by a child without a valid legal basis, we will take appropriate steps to delete them.
11. Changes to this notice
We update this notice when the services, providers or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected before new processing begins where prior information or consent is required.
